"The Iyengar Yoga Teacher approach to Hatha yoga classes is firmly based on the traditional eight limbs of yoga as expounded by Patanjali in his classic treatise, The Yoga Sutras. Iyengar yoga emphasizes the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration (Dharana) and meditation (Dhyana)".  - Iyengar Yoga Institute

"The Human mind can be thought of as a lake.

When a lake is calm, it sits still, the reflection is clear.

Yet sometimes, a pebble falls into the lake and creates rings of disturbance.

And eventually, the rings can grow and disturb the clear reflection of the lake.

Then everything, around and within the lake, is disturbed..

The same is with the mind .. ..

So, keep your mind still . .. .

And don't be influenced by the pebbles which fall within your path."

What is this condition called?
When I was younger, I had pretty bad scoliosis. My spin now is pretty much straight as far as I can tell, however since that adjustment I had when I was younger, it left my body unbalanced. I notice first that my abs that I had at the time were no longer symmetrical. Then over time, I realized that my belly(I got fatter =[) is bigger on the left side than the right; it pocks out a little more. And on my back, the left muscles are smaller and tighter, and there seems to be more mass on my right side. In a sense, it seems my whole upper body is rotated a little with the left side shifted forwards a bit. Can anyone tell me what this condition might be? This is something I've ignored for years but feel like I should work on fixing now...
